Father’s day is this Sunday, and all of our wineries will be open to celebrate! Check out each of their offerings, and some special events.
The Gallery Winery
Hours: Friday 12-6 | Saturday & Sunday 12-5
Stop in at the Gallery to try a tasting or sip the flight of wine on their beautiful patio! Plus, they’re kicking off their Foodtruck Fridays this week with $5 glasses of their signature white and bites from local trucks on site.
Does dad love learning new skills? Does he like hosting dinner parties? You’ll have to bring dad to this weekend’s intermediate Charcuterie Board making class on the Gallery Patio! On Friday June 16th at 6pm local charcuterie board company ‘Give them Brie’ will be on site guiding participants through the elevated level of board making! The ticket includes the beautiful platter, all the food, and a wine tasting!
Beaumont Family Estate Winery
Hours: Daily 11-5
This family owned & operated winery knows all about making seriously good wines & times! Their wines and space are an ode to classic musicians, and cars with ‘notes’ on the bottles, Elvis watching over, and parts of the classic Beaumont car hidden throughout the shop.
Does dad like working out? They’re hosting a ‘Bootcamp and bubbles’ workshop at 9:30am on Saturday June 17th!
Ciao Bella Winery
Hours: Friday & Saturday 11-5 | Sunday 12-5
Traditional Italian-style wine, made by a traditional Italian family! In fact, the wine makers are even a Father and son team, Robert & Antonio Fiume! Entering this winery is quite literally entering the families backyard-turned-wine shop, there you’ll be welcomed by 3-generations of the founding Fiume family. Their most popular tasting experience is definitely one dad will love – wine paired sputinni boards! This offer sets up groups at one of their patio table spots with a wine paired board of Italian cheeses and meats, surrounded by spectacular vineyard views. Plus, Roberto’s wife, Antonio’s Mom, Sharon manages the wine shop, and often guides the tastings! The wine makers, daughter Olivia, or Nonna Melina are usually always floating around too to guide tastings, offer further insight on the wine and vines or just to hang out and enjoy the day with guests!
Grizzli Winery
Hours: Daily 10-7:30
There’s always something happening at Grizzli – so of course this weekend has the ultimate line up of fun for dad! Guests are invited to choose between a variety of tasting styles, and can leisurely stroll through their impressive seasonally rotating art gallery.
On Friday June 16th from 3-7, they have their weekly Happy Hour Live music event featuring Aaron Loewen music!
On Saturday June 17th from 7-9 its everyones favourite summer event, their golden hour in the vineyard! This week the Okanagan Symphony String Quartet will be escorting guests away by the elegance of classics from Bach to Beethoven and Broadway to The Beatles. With a glass of Grizzli wine in one hand, surrounded by vineyards and views this evening is not one to miss with dad!
Indigenous World Winery
Hours: Daily 11-6
Merging modern culture with indigenous history, this winery is an amazing place to learn about the unique terroir of the valley and the Indigenous people’s stewardship of these lands. Their tasting room and patio has a beautiful, sweeping view of the valley. Plus, they don’t just offer wine, the location is also home to their sister spirits brand which guests are also invited to taste – which is a BIG win with any dad.
Kalala Organic Estate
Hours: Daily 10-6
Kalala produces award-winning wines across the world, and of course right here in West Kelowna & all certified organic! Their winemaker, Karnail, even won Viticulturist of the year in 2019. Karnail is also the owner & founder of Kalala, alongside Mobile Juice Factory, and recently acquired Little Straw Vineyards! These are all huge jobs, but none as big as his other role as Dad to two daughters – and soon to be grandfather! Karnail and his family are often onsite working in various positions and saying hello to visitors – the property has breathtaking views of the Okanagan Lake and vineyards & orchard areas that any dad would love to explore. They also have picnic tables you can enjoy a wine flight & charcuterie at!
Little Straw Vineyards
Hours: Daily 10-7
This winery overlooks has amazing views overlooking the rest of the Wine Trail and has officially reopened their restaurant. You and dad can enjoy a tasting, seated dining service, or small-bites & flights in the picnic area! The menu is Indian-fusion with something for everyone – there’s tons of veggie, vegan, and gluten free options!
On Saturday they’ll be participating at the Kelowna Wine Country Half Marathon after-party music festival!
Rollingdale Winery
Hours: Daily 10-6
Rollingdale has been a west Kelowna family favourite for years! They have tasting flights of easy to drink and full of flavour wines in the rustic wine shop, along with a super friendly, down-to-earth team. They encourage visitors to bring a picnic, grab a bottle at the wine shop and head up on their hill for a picnic with views of the vineyard and Okanagan Lake – this is also the building site of their soon-to-be new wine shop!
This weekend, their food truck is back open! Just for dad, they’re also offering their 5-year-old port style Fort & 2018 Merlot for 20% off so he can elevate that wine collection, or enjoy an elegant picnic sipper.
Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery
Hours: Daily 10:30-7
An original west kelowna vineyard and winery, they revamped & opened up a breathtaking new wine shop & Restaurant just a few years ago! Since then, they’ve become known to be THE place for cool events, fun tastings, and incredible food – they just wone silver for Best Steak in Kelowna!
Their restaurant, The Modest Butcher is making every dad’s dream come true and taking care of the BBQ this sunday! On June 18th from 11-5 join them on the winery lawn for the second annual Father’s Day BBQ! Chef Dan will be grillin’ up footlong hotdogs, Modest Macs™, Two-Hand Steak Sandwiches, and sides fit for a king. Beer from Lakesider Brewing and a special release of Mt. Boucherie’s flagship SUMMIT red wine will be flowing.
Niche Wine Co.

Farm Fresh Wines & Good times – This family-owned and operated winery, is one of the newest & highest stops on the Westside Wine Trail! Nestled in the hills of West Kelowna, they produce small-batch that showcase their love of farm and family. This combination of homegrown, handmade wines paired with a limited, high-quality production makes their wines both delicious and hard to get your hands on; don’t wait to bring dad as their new releases just dropped & awards are piling up, he’s going to want to secure a case of his favourite & take in this unique property!
Off the Grid Organic Winery
Hours: Daily 10-6
A Strawbale made wine shop with a grass roof maintained by the vineyard goats – this place is an entertaining stop for dad & the kids! Owners, Nigel and Travis Paynter are from a long line of farmers who have lived on and worked the land for over a hundred years. They are lucky enough to be married to two very smart and ambitious women, and all together they can make great wine. Guests are invited to enjoy their incredible tasting line up or pick up a bottle to enjoy at their picnic tables with some of their artisanal food-truck pizza.
On Fridays, they offer farm tours which includes a regular flight of wines and behind the scenes meet and greets with the farm’s animals.
Every Sunday at 10:30am kick-off fathers day with a relaxing wine fuelled yoga class in their vineyards!
Quails' Gate Winery

Guided wine tastings, or a self-serve bottle; Seated dinner, or a casual market pizza; Quails gate Winery has experiences any dad can get behind! Check out their various levels of tastings, and make sure to book a reservation ahead of time!
Volcanic Hills Estate Winery

A Father’s Dream, a Family’s Journey! When the Gidda Family first acquired the land back in the 60s, they became the largest apple farmers in West Kelowna! But Sarwan Gidda dreamed of producing grapes & making world class wines. Slowly but surely the orchards started being converted to vines. Then, in May 2010, Sarwan’s children finally fulfilled their father’s curious dream of establishing a winery, Volcanic Hills Estate Winery. The kids, Christina, Bobby, and Amit, run every aspect of the business now and you can expect to be greeted by one of them or even be lucky enough to experience a tasting guided by them! They have tons of tasting experiences to choose from, including a pride themed paired tasting, a proprietors tour, and the dad-go-to – sabering lesson in the vineyard!

Plus, their seasonal terrace restaurant is officially open and now offering wine by the glass for guests to enjoy while exploring the estate grounds.
